Best Diapers of 2018
Huggies, Pampers, Luvs, and cloth. These are just a few brands and phrases that you will hear when entering into the lovely world of diapers. This is just one of the many important decisions you will make not only for your child’s rear end but also for your wallet.
As a new mom, there are so many scary things you hear that can cause diaper rash, sleepless nights (as if we didn’t have enough of those already) and a dent in the budget. So I am excited to dig into the best diapers of 2018 to clear the fog and help make this decision as easy and painless as possible.
Before I get started let me say this, you’re doing it and you are doing it well. Motherhood looks wonderful on you. Look at you, researching diapers, finding out all the best things for your baby, caring about the small things. Those, THOSE, are the things that make up a great mom. Not having the freshest pair of shoes, the best boutique wardrobe, or the fanciest baby swing on the market. Caring about the small things and caring HARD will take you to great lengths in your journey as “Mom”.
Alright, let’s dive in mamas. We need to find the best priced, most absorbent, and most comfortable diapers for your new little one. Something that can make them, and us, happy.
1. Pampers Swaddler Diapers:
Pampers Swaddlers are the overwhelmingly number one choice for new parents, hospitals and nurses. They are well known for the super soft feel and flexible fit. Pampers Swaddler line was one of my favorites when my little ones were brand new because of the wetness indicator and the notch that made space for the umbilical cord. No more folding over the diaper to avoid that cord! Pampers also has a new line called “Pure” that is great for those little ones that may have sensitive skin. The “Pure” line creates diapers that are 0% chlorine bleaching, fragrances, parabens, and latex.
2. Honest Diapers:
Coming in a close second are these more eco-friendly, -derived diapers. They come completely free of chlorine bleaching and harsh chemicals. This is definitely a major plus for Eco-conscience parents! Not only are there lots of fun prints and designs to keep you excited for your next purchase, but they are also just as absorbent as other disposable diaper brands! WIN! Although these are wonderful diapers, there are two pieces of important information to remember. While you can find them at stores like Costco or Target, they are not as easily accessible in other stores like some of the other major brand name diapers. As well as inaccessibility, Honest Diapers do run on the higher end of pricing than other brand names like Pampers or Huggies.
3. Huggies Snug and Dry Diapers:
Another incredibly well-known diaper! They are known for having a “roomier” fit, while still be able to lock in any blowouts that might happen. Which we all know WILL happen! One thing I like about Huggies is that they are absorbent and soft and keep the moisture away from your little babes bottom. This is good for diaper rashes, which was always a big thing in our household!
I wish you the best of luck in this crazy world of motherhood! Remember that we are all just one blowout away from losing it, so none of us are perfect. Do your best and remember to encourage other moms along the way.
